Every year, millions of pairs of athletic shoes are thrown away, clogging landfills and wasting a lot of good material.  So the Kol Hadash Youth Group is doing something about it!  This year, the Youth Group will be collecting used gym shoes to donate to Reuse-A-Shoe, a program sponsored by Nike, which processes the used shoes into material that can be used to build new playground surfaces.

Collection dates for used shoes are:

• November 2
• December 7
• January 11
• February 1
• March 22
• May 3

All collections are during Sunday School at Deerfield High School rear lobby.  Any type of athletic shoe is accepted, except no cleats and all metal objects such as grommets must be removed. For more information click on the link below.
