High Holidays for Tots & Preschool Jewish Discovery

Sunday, September 12, 2021 6 Tishrei 5782

10:30 AM - 11:15 AM

Celebrate the Jewish High Holidays with stories, songs and activities especially for young children. Everyone is welcome at this free, family program. Rabbi Adam Chalom and veteran preschool teacher Lynn Miller will lead holiday activities for children up to age 6 with a grown up. There will be time to get to know other families in your community, too. Resources for celebrating the High Holidays in your home will also be provided.

Older siblings can come at 9:30am for our Sunday School Try Out and join their grade’s class.

Please also make plans to join us for our Family Services for Rosh Hashana (Tuesday, September 6, 2:00pm at North Shore Unitarian Church) and Yom Kippur (Tuesday, September 16, 2:00pm). Our Family services are aimed at children ages 4-11 but all are welcome to attend. These services are free and open to the public. No advanced reservation is required.

RSVP’s encouraged - walk-ins welcome

SUNDAY SCHOOL TRY OUT:

We welcome non-members to join us - there is no expectation of a commitment by coming to this program.

Are you thinking about how to expose your children to Jewish culture and identity? Your family is welcome to ‘try out’ our Sunday School by visiting their grade’s class for the day. Kol Hadash Humanistic Congregation holds weekly Sunday School classes for students in Kindergarten through Confirmation. Each class has a well-defined curriculum, covering topics in Jewish history, literature and culture. We encourage children to value their Jewish identity and to think for themselves. Our whole school -- students, teachers, and families -- come together to celebrate Jewish holidays as well as for special programs on Jewish culture, community service activities and more.
