Adult Education: How We Vote FEATURING Lake County Clerk Anthony Vega

Tuesday, May 21, 2024 13 Iyar 5784

7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

As the November 2024 election approaches (some might say, not fast enough!), confusion and misinformation about how we vote and whether it is secure and reliable are spreading. Separate from why one should vote or for whom to vote, we need confidence in HOW we vote! Join Lake County Clerk Anthony Vega and Kol Hadashians Victoria Ratnaswamy and Rabbi Adam Chalom, who have served as election judges multiple times. They will share their knowledge, insight and experiences making sure that every legal vote counts.

Lake County Clerk Anthony Vega previously served as Chief of Staff to Lake County Sheriff John D. Idleburg. He is the first Latino Lake County Clerk and the first openly LGBTQ+ candidate to win a countywide office. County Clerk Vega holds a B.A. in political science from Bellarmine University and a Master's in Public Policy from Loyola University in Chicago.

This program is generously supported by a grant from Jews for a Secular Democracy (www.jfasd.org).
