Becoming a member of Kol Hadash is easy!

We have always believed that membership in Kol Hadash is about meaning, not money. This is another example of how we live our values with consistency and integrity.

We offer these three membership options:

  • Supporting Membership: $2,600 for a family, $1,300 for an individual.
  • Sustaining Membership:  An additional $1000 or $1500 pledge beyond Supporting.
  • Contributing Membership: Self-selected commitment

Supporting Members pay what used to be our standard, fixed dues. This recommended level of support covers most but not all of our expenses, so we rely on donations to make up the difference. For instance, some Supporting Members (single or household) choose to become Sustaining Members by contributing an additional $1000 or $1500 annually.

Contributing Members select their pledge level either above or below the target Supporting amount. Contributing Members are full members with access to everything, including High Holidays, life cycle events with our wonderful Rabbi Chalom, and Youth Education programs (which have their own fees). Clearly, we need money for the congregation to continue, and we hope that our members will choose their support commensurate with their financial ability, sense of value, and desire to advance the mission of Kol Hadash.

If you would like some suggestions of what might be an appropriate annual commitment for your situation, please see our Guidance for Contributing Members.

Rabbi Adam Chalom is always happy to talk with you in person, by email or phone. (847-383-5184, rabbi@KolHadash.com), or you can contact our Administrator, Jeremy Owens, info@KolHadash.com.
