Shabbat
“Shabbat is a human invention, improving time by adding silence to noise, stillness to motion. This special moment is a gift to ourselves."
— Rabbi Adam Chalom
For us, Jewish identity and culture is about people, not prayer. Our Friday evening Shabbat services encourage reflection and meditation while honoring our cultural heritage. The celebrations include beautiful music, memorial observances and intellectual stimulation, followed by refreshments and fellowship.

Guests are always welcome!
We typically have a Shabbat service twice a month, so please check our calendar.
You might enjoy a Humanistic Shabbat service at home with our family home Shabbat service.
Family Shabbat Celebrations
A highlight of the Sunday School year is the Class Shabbat Service. Each class creates and leads a Friday evening Shabbat Service (even the youngest grades — they are very cute!).
We also have Family Home Shabbat celebrations in members’ homes. These are opportunities to share food, fellowship and friendship in a casual setting.
