Are you thinking about how to expose your children to Jewish culture and identity? Your family is welcome to ‘try out’ our Sunday School by visiting their grade’s class for the day. Kol Hadash Humanistic Congregation holds weekly Sunday School classes for students in First Grade through Ninth Grade Confirmation. Each class has a well-defined curriculum, covering topics in Jewish history, literature and culture. We encourage children to value their Jewish identity and to think for themselves. Our whole school -- students, teachers, and families -- come together to celebrate Jewish holidays as well as for special programs on Jewish culture, community service activities and more.
First Day of Sunday School

Students and parents join our special programming on the first day of Sunday School! It is free and open to everyone! Children in 1st through 9th grade Confirmation will be in their Sunday School class. We have complimentary childcare for children up to age 6. At our Parents Meeting, we'll talk about this year at Sunday School and will answer your questions. And, if you want to see if we are a fit for your family, your child can join their grade's class for the day with our Sunday School Tryout. Advance registration required, please (see below). There is no expectation of a commitment by attending.
Parents Meeting
Sunday, September 7, 2025 • 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM
While students are in class and younger siblings are in our complimentary childcare, parents will head to our Parents Meeting. They'll have a chance to briefly join their child’s class to meet the teacher and other families. We’ll have coffee and light breakfast, we’ll talk about this year at Sunday School, and we’ll be ready to answer your questions.
Family Bagel Brunch & Activities

Afterwards, at our Family Bagel Brunch & Activities, students, teachers, parents and guests will come together for a tasty meal, enjoyable activities, and to connect with others in our community. It is free and open to everyone.
